Noah V. Beard, 82

Services for Noah Virgil Beard, 80, of 1912 Ave. E will be at 4 p.m. today at Wright-Morelock Funeral Home with burial to be in Greenleaf Cemetery.

Mr. Beard died at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Brownwood Community Hospital following a long illness.

Born Nov. 2, 1891 in Comanche, he was a retired farmer and lived most of his life in Brownwood. He married Nannie Louise Nash in Brownwood June 18, 1913.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Avants of Brownwood; three sons, W. J. Beard of San Antonio; Elton L. Beard of Lubbock and Glen Beard of Brownwood; two sisters, Mrs. Ova Johnson of Aspermont and Mrs. Lizzie Garner of Haskell; two brothers, R. C. Beard of Tomball and Tom Beard of Brownwood; eight grandchildren ; and two great-grandchildren.

He was married to Nannie Louise "Lula" Nash (daughter of William Nash and Nannie) on 18 Jun 1913 in Brown County, Texas. Nannie Louise "Lula" Nash was born in Feb 1884 in Texas. She died on 1 Jun 1966 in Brown County, Texas.⁽³⁷³⁾ Virgil Noah Beard and Nannie Louise "Lula" Nash had the following children:
