LOIS L. BANZHAF

Services for Lois L. Banzhaf, 91, of Temple will be at 11 a.m. today at Bellwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Stephen Schmidt and the Rev. Bill Fulton officiating.

She died Monday in a Temple hospital.

Mrs. Banzhaf was born in Merkel and moved to Temple in 1919. She married William Clayton Banzhaf Aug. 17, 1926. A housewife, she was a member of Seventh Street Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Temple chapter of Easter Star and a member of the National Association of Retires Veteran Railroad Employees.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972.

Survivors include two sons, George Banzhaf and Glen Banzhaf, both of Temple; and three sisters, Mary B. O'Neal and Louise Moore, both of Temple, and Frances Rich of Bangor, Maine.

Memorials may be made to Living Gifts at Scott and White Memorial Hospital or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Sheffield Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.

She was married to William Clayton Banzhaf (son of George Banzhaf and Clara) on 17 Aug 1926 in Temple, Bell County, Texas.(1434) William Clayton Banzhaf was born on 29 Jun 1895 in Rockdale, Milam County, Texas. He died on 28 Nov 1972 in Temple, Bell County, Texas. (1435) He was buried in Bellwood Memorial Park, Temple, Bell County, Texas.


Lived at 1005 So. 11th Street, Temple, in 1937.

OBITUARIES

W. C. BANZHAF

William Clayton Banzhaf, 77, of 4005 S. 11 St., died Tuesday morning in a Temple hospital after a long illness.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home, the Rev. Bob Briles officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Banzhaf was born in Rockdale and was reared in Milam County. He moved to Temple in 1919. He ws married to Miss Lois Balch, Aug. 17, 1926. He was employed by the Santa Fe Railway as a locomotive engineer from 1920 until 1967. He was a member of the Seventh Street Methodist Church, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, a 50-year member of Knob Creek Lodge 401, AF&AM, Central Texas Sportsmans Club, and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, and two sons, George Banzhaf and Glenn Banzhaf, both of Temple.
Lois Lee Balch and William Clayton Banzhaf had the following children:
