27. Rev. James Dupuy was born on 29 Jan 1745 in King William Parish, Manakin, Goochland County, Virginia.(104) He bought a patent for 1000 acres on the north side of the South Fork of Licking Creek on Castles Run a branch on 14 Nov 1785 in Fayette County, Kentucky. (105) He bought a patent for 3344 acres between Hinksons Fork and Main Licking adjoining John Dupuy on 20 Aug 1786 in Fayette County, Kentucky. (106) He bought a patent for 1000 acres near Harrods Lick Creek on the west side on 20 Aug 1788 in Fayette County, Kentucky. (107) He bought a patent for 1000 acres on the waters of Stoners Fork of Licking. on 16 Feb 1789 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. (108) He appeared on the census in 1810 in Shelby County, Kentucky.(109) He appeared on the census in 1820 in Shelby County, Kentucky. (110) He appeared on the census in 1830 in Shelby County, Kentucky. (111) He died on 5 May 1837.

Rev. James Dupuy (Baptist); Emigrated from Powhatan Co., Va., to Kentucky, about 1786 and joined Clear creek church, Oldham Co.; Later, united in forming Buck Run church, whose building is not a handsome brick structure, located in Finchville, Ky.; and still later was connected with Bethel church, both in Shelby Co.; b. King William Parish, Va., Jan 29, 1745 (B. R. No. 32); d. May 5, 1837; m. Oct. 16, 1776, Anne Starke; d. June 11, 1833 (Daughter of Major John Starke of Va.)


He was married to Anne Starke (daughter of John Starke) on 16 Oct 1776. Anne Starke was born on 7 Nov 1760 in Virginia.(104) She died on 11 Jun 1833. Rev. James Dupuy and Anne Starke had the following children:
