MILDRED (Millie) BOONE went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2003 at the age of 90. Our loving mother, sister and Granny was born in Haskell, TX on August 25, 1913 to Lorenzo Franklyn Cozzen and Susan Lydia Du Puy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Obert Boone; her father and mother, Lorenzo and Susan Cozzen; sisters, Thelma Killen, Vera Lester, Virginia Barnett; brothers, Jack, Ernest and Starkey Cozzen; daughter, May La Nell Myers; grandson, Jimmy Fann. Survivors include sister, Betty Haught; son, James (Jim) Fann, wife Joy; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family members and many friends.

She was a beauty operator for over 65 years, 50-year life member of Eastern Star, Past Matron 1968-1969 Starr Chapter No. 782, member of Texas Chapter No. 35. She held many grand appointments. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for many years and recently Parita United Methodist Church. She was a sweet giving and loving person who worked very hard for the church and community.

Services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at Alamo Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Efrain Avila Jr. (Parita) and Rev. Leighanne Brechin (Aldersgate) with Interment to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. She was married to Roy Fann in 1928. Mildred Odell Cozzen and Roy Fann had the following children:

2204 iv. Helen Karen Fann was born on 23 Jul 1933 in Jones Cemetery, Uvalde County, Texas.⁽¹²⁵⁸⁾ She died in Nov 1934 in Jones County, Texas.

She was married to Obert A. Boone in 1950. Obert A. Boone was born on 27 Apr 1902. He died on 30 Oct 1990.
