Dr. Jonathan Ethelbert Dupuy, M.D. was born in Virginia, and emigrated to Alabama when a small child. He first married Tabitha Evans, in Alabama in 1836, by whom he had two children, and in 1845 married Louisa Jenkins in Arkansas. His biography was written by Dr. Edgar Frazell, which is attached to this report. Also attached is the divorce petition of Tabitha Dupuy who was abandoned by Dr. Dupuy prior to his marriage with Louisa Jenkins.

He was married to Tabitha Evans (daughter of Jesse Evans and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick) on 19 Jul 1836 in Pike County, Alabama. MORTUARY

Mrs. L. J. Dupuy, aged 76 years, died at her home near battle Thursday evening at 8:15 o'clock. The remains were interred at the Lone Oak cemetery yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

The deceased had many friends throughout the county that will be pained to learn of her death.
