She was married to William Middleton (son of Horatio Middleton and Rebecca Owens) about 1843. William Middleton was born in 1817 in Kentucky. He appeared on the census in 1850 in Platte County, Missouri. Mary Elizabeth Owens and William Middleton had the following children:
