1134. Joseph Trainer Wyche

County, Texas. He died on 31 May 1967 in Hobbs, Lea County, New Mexico. He
was buried in Antioch Baptist Cemetery, Lea County, New Mexico.

Services Held For Joseph T. Wyche, Friday
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Smith-Rogers Chapel for Joseph
T. Wyche, 75. He died late Wednesday evening at the La Fiesta Convalescent Center
in Hobbs. He had been staying therefor the past 11 months.
Mr. Wyche was an employee of Lubbock Auto Company for 37 years. On his retirement
ten years ago, he moved to Lov ington and made his home at 916 South Third.
He was born October 8, 1891 in Waco, Texas. On February 27, 1916, he married
Orvilla Stanbro in Plains, Texas. Mr. Wyche was a member of the Calvary Baptist
Church.
In addition to his wife who is also a patient at the La Fiesta Center, he is
survived by four sisters, Mrs. Louise Crutchfield, Lovington; Mrs. Margaret Jarrell,
Wilcox, Arizona; Mrs. Bessie Dahl, Albuquerque; and Mrs. Eleanor Ainsworth, Myrtle
Creek, Oregon. And by three brothers, Seth, Corona, New Mexico; William, Van
Horn, Texas; and Jewel, Albuquerque.
The services were held at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Preston Frasier, Calvary Baptist
Church, and Billy Beauchamp, retired Methodist minister, officiating.
Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Smith-Rogers Funeral
Home.
He was married to Orvilla Stanbrow (daughter of Orville
Carlton Stanbro and Orlena Jane Burns) on 27 Feb 1916 in
Plains, Yoakum County, Texas. Orvilla Stanbrow was
born on 14 Jul 1897 in Oklahoma. She died on 21 May 1968 in Lea County, New
Mexico. She was buried in Antioch Baptist Cemetery, Lea County, New Mexico. |
