Mr. Dupuy wrote the following book on his family's journey to New Hope, Roosevelt County, New Mexico in 1909, entitled "New Hope, Roosevelt County, NM", printed by the Worley Printing Company, Austin Texas. I have a copy on file.

Margueritte Gillette was born on 22 Feb 1904 in Cedar Bayou, Harris County, Texas. She died on 8 Jul 1997 in Junction City, Geary County, Kansas.

MARGUERITTE GILLETTE DUPUY

Margueritte Gillette DuPuy died a natural death on July 9, 1997, near Junction City, Kansas. She was born February 22, 1904, in Cedar Bayou, Texas.

She graduated from high school in Houston, Texas, in 1921, and Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1926. She married William Everett DuPuy on June 6, 1930, and they celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in 1990, before his death later that year. Margueritte Everett moved to Austin, Texas, in 1971, from Houston.

Margueritte was a devoted housewife and mother. Margueritte's second love, after family, was the Unitarian Church. She was a free thinking rationist and naturalist and a strong supporter of American Democracy and the common good, while still holding on to a strict moral code of ethics, mainly demonstrated by honesty, the work ethic, and family values.

A memorial service for Margueritte Gillette DuPuy will occur at 3:00 o'clock Monday, June 14, 1997, at the First Unitarian Church of Austin.

In lieu of flowers, Margueritte would prefer your donations to your favorite charity or to the Unitarian Endowment Fund of the Austin Church.

Margueritte will be missed, appreciated and remembered by all who all who knew her, but most especially by her surviving family, daughter, Elaine Harder and her children, Alwin Harder and wife, Melinda, Michelle Gee and husband, Tommie, and Kelsey Harder
and wife, Janelle, and son, Fred G. DuPuy, M.D. and wife, Nina Ruth and, children, Amber Celeste, Melanie Cherie, Paul Warner and Frederic Gillette.

William Everett Dupuy and Margueritte Gillette had the following children:
