DUPUY FUNERAL SET FOR TODAY
Tourist Camp Manager Killed Returning From Van Horn
Funeral services for H. E. Dupuy, Jr., 24, Del Norte Tourist Camp Manager who
was killed early Monday when an automobile in shich he was riding struck a concrete
bridge three miles west of Clint, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Peak-Hagedon
Chapel. The Rev. Sam E. Allison will officiate.
Pallbearers will be W. M. Moore, Jr., J. K. Spencer, M. F. Okles, S. A. Pipes,
J. Morris and Jim Edge. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Dupuy's mother, who was visiting in Roswell, N. M., when whe received news
of the accident, arrived in El Paso Monday noon. Besides his parents, Mrs. and
Mrs. H. E. Dupuy, 4015 Alameda Avenue, Mr. Dupuy is survived by a brother, Frank
Dupuy, also of El Paso.
Deputy Sheriffs reported Mr. Dupuy apparently went to sleep at the wheel of the
automobile. Tracks revealed the machine swerved across the road before striking
the bridge wall. He was en route home after a visit with a friend in Van Horn
when the accident occured. His death was the seventh due to automobile accidents
on county highways since Jan. 1.
