Wednesday, May 8, 1907
Edgar Baird, aged 25 years, died last night about 6 o'clock at the Seton infirmary
after an operation for appendicitis. He is survived by a father and mother,
five brothers and a sister. He was a well known young man and was held in high
esteem by all those who knew him. The fact that he was soon to be married makes
his death an especially sad one. The funeral will be held this afternoon from
the family residence in the northwest part of the city.

Died. J. E. Beard, May 7, aged 24 years, son of J. W. Beard. Funeral will take
place from the family residence on West Thirty-fourth street this afternoon at
3 o'clock. He is survived by a father and mother, seven brothers and one sister.
Appendicitis was the cause of death.

Remains Are Interred
Edgar Beard, the young man who died of appendicitis Tuesday evening, was buried
in the Oakwood cemetery yesterday afternoon. Many floral tributes were in evidence
and a large concourse of friends followed the remains to the burial grounds.
The funeral services were conducted by Dr. Gray.
He was engaged in 1907 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.
