Laura (Lozzie) Isabell Beard Lozano

Laura (Lozzie) Isabell Beard Lozano passed away Saturday, March 25, 1995.

Mrs. Lozano was born April 12, 1912, to Texas Ranger, Alfred Glenn Beard and Laura Brodie Beard who was Legislative Advisor to the Texas Board of Pardon and Parole. Isabell was raised at the Old Brodie Homestead, 290 West and Brodie Lane.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Alfred Eli Lozano.

Mrs. Lozano is survived by many family members: half-sisters, Betty Waters and Mary Pat Molloy; children: sons, Glenn Lozano and wife, Geri, Don Lozano and wife, Judy; and daughter, Joan Lozano Cauthen and husband, Sonny; grandchildren, Cheryl Lozano Whitten, Darren Lozano, Caryl Lozano Reyna, Dee Lozano, Misti Cauthen Voight, Laura Lozano Zaragosa. Crysta Lozano, Geoff Nicholson, and Cari Nicholson, and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday, at Harrell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, at Harrell Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Thielepape and Reverend L. Peter Logsdon, C.S.C., Monterrey, Mexico, officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the. American Cancer Society.

Alfred Eli "Monk" Lozano was born on 12 Oct 1903 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. He died on 29 Feb 1980 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. (87) He was buried in Masonic Cemetery of Onion Creek, Travis County, Texas.

LOZANO, Alfred Eli (Monk), 76, 2111 Wilson, died Friday. Services 3 p.m. today at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Burial, Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors: wife Isabell Lozano of Austin; daughter, Joan Cauthen of Austin, sons, Alfred Glenn Lozano, Don Lozano, both of Austin; sisters Gertrude Wallace, Agnes Pizzitola, both of Houston; Maggie Krauskoph of Yokum; Rose Garza of Austin; brother, R. C. Lozano of Austin; seven grandchildren (Wilke-Clay). Laura Isabelle Beard and Alfred Eli "Monk" Lozano had the following children:
