Ross Edward McDonald

Ross Edward McDonald, age 39, of Cedar Park, died Friday, May 21, 1993, after an extended illness.

Ross was educated in Austin Public Schools, graduating from McCallum High School In 1972 and Southwest Texas State University in 1978. He also attended the University of Texas. Ross was very involved with young people. He was a teacher at Martin Junior High School and Assistant Scout Master of Troop Number 413. He was a member of an Indian Ceremonial Dance Team and was quite knowledgeable regarding Indian Lore. His Indian name was Running Bear.

Ross is survived by his wife, Karen Friesenhahn McDonald; son, Patrick McDonald, daughter, Jennifer McDonald, all of Cedar Park; parents, Bill and Beth McDonald, brothers, Warren "Bud" McDonald and wife, Matye, Rand McDonald and wife, Debbie; sisters, Cathy Andrews and husband Terry, Jan Roberts and husband Charles, all of Austin; six nieces and nephews: and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM, Monday, May 24, 1993, at the Cook Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Bower officiating.

A special thank you is extended 13 Dr. Thomas Tucker of the Central Texas Oncology Center, Hospice of Travis and Williamson Counties, and many friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, Ross requested that donations be made to the McDonald Children Education Fund, Dean Witter Reynolds, 1200 Bank One Tower, Austin, Texas 78701.

He was married to Katherine Sue Borthwick (daughter of Harry Borthwick and Mary) on 14 Feb 1977 in Buda, Hays County, Texas.⁽⁶⁸²⁾ He was divorced from Katherine Sue Borthwick on 11 Apr 1988 in Travis County, Texas. ⁽⁶⁸³⁾ Ross Edward McDonald and Katherine Sue Borthwick had the following children:

1388 i. Patrick John McDonald (Private).
1389 ii. Jennifer Nicole McDonald (Private).

He was married to Karen E. Friesenhahn on 13 Mar 1993 in Williamson County, Texas.⁽⁶⁸⁴⁾
