Mrs. Angie A. Acheson, 63, died Sept 27, in Burge-Protestant Hospital, Springfield.
She was a native of the Oldfield community in Christian County, and resided there
until moving to Springfield in 1923. She was a member of the Walnut Street Christian
Church in Springfield. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Acheson, of the
home at 1512 N. Missouri, Springfield; one son, R.J. Acheson, of Morton, Ill;
one daughter, Mrs. Joann Aton, Route 8 Springfield: six grandchildren, her father
and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. John Newton of Ozark; two brothers, Roy Newton of
Sparta and Arthur Newton of ???dale, Ariz.; three stepbrothers, Bill Applegate
of Selah, Wash., Lawrence Applegate of Ava, and Dain Applegate of Tulsa, Okla.;
seven stepsisters, Mrs. Mavie Jenkins of Claremore, Okla., Mrs. Mildred Foreman
of Copan, Okla., Miss Rachel Applegate of the Island of Guam, Mrs. Viola Collins
of Tulsa, Mrs. Eva Wolfe and Mrs. Allene Smith of Ozark, and Mrs. Ann O'Bryan
of Kansas City, Mo.Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E. M. Wheatley
on Sept. 30, at 3 p.m. in the Ralph Thieme Chapel in Springfield, with the Harris
Funeral Home of Ozark directing funeral arrangements.
She was married to Ralph Acheson on 27 Nov 1918 in Christian County, Missouri.
