He was married to Martha Virginia Wyche (daughter of Oscar Dunreath Wyche and Elizabeth Isabel Trainer) on 28 Aug 1889 in Falls County, Texas. ⁽⁴⁹²⁾ Martha Virginia Wyche was born on 17 Aug 1856 in Leon County, Texas. She appeared on the census on 6 Jun 1900 in Palestine, J. P. #1, Anderson County, Texas. ⁽⁴⁹³⁾ She appeared on the census on 18 Apr 1910 in 510 North 10th Street, Waco, McLennan County, Texas.⁽⁴⁹⁴⁾ She died on 22 Sep 1943 in Waco, McLennan, Texas. She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, McLennan County, Texas.

Martha Wyche Hunter "Aunt Sis" obtained a stake in land near Jim and Bishop Hunter in New Mexico. In later years she lived with her sister in Waco, Texas.

FUNERAL NOTICES


HUNTER, MRS. MARTHA VIRGINIA

Martha Virginia Hunter, age 87, died at home of her sister, Mrs. J. M. Corbin, at 2721 Parrott, at ___ a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bolger-Haney chapel. Rev. E. H. Lightfoot officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, O. H. Hunter of Goose Creek, W. E. Hunter of Seattle, Wash., Gilbert M. Hunter of Governor's Island, New York; two sisters, Mrs. S. A. Hunter of Dallas, Mrs. J. M. Corbin of Waco; two brothers, Henry Wyche of Haskel, and J. T. Wyche of San Simon, Arizona.

Pallbearers: H. G. Goodman, B. G. Camp, Henry A. Dyer, O. W. Corbin, Davis Garland, and Pierce Cook.
