Jim Rowland of Deport and Rev. Bill Patterson of Brookston. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home had charge. Born near Deport, son of Joseph Albert Gunn and Catherine Martin Gunn. He attended Rosalie and Minter schools and married Dixie Helen Dunlap on Dec. 21, 1927, at Minter. He was a farmer and rancher and a retired employee of Babcock and Wilcox, having retired in July 1, 1972, after 19 years. He was a Presbyterian, but attended the Minter Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Ruth Clark of Houston; a grandson, David Clark of Arlington; a granddaughter, Kristi Clark of Irving; several cousins.'

He was married to Dixie Helen Dunlap on 21 Dec 1927 in Minter, Lamar County, Texas. Dixie Helen Dunlap was born on 10 Jan 1908. She died on 7 Apr 1990 in Lamar County, Texas. ⁽¹⁴²⁾
