He was married to Mary "Polly" Aston Baker in 1816. Mary "Polly" Aston Baker was born in 1795. She died on 8 Nov 1839 in Rutherford County, Tennessee. She was buried in Cannon Cemetery, Rutherford County, Tennessee. Robert McClary Martin and Mary "Polly" Aston Baker had the following children:
