328. Gayle L. Swofford was born on 29 Jul 1908 in Boone County, Arkansas. He died on 27 Jan 1993 in Harrison, Boone County, Arkansas. He was buried in Anderson Flat Cemetery, Marion County, Arkansas.

Son of Benjamin R. & Hettie Kisner Swofford, was a farmer and had retired from Flexsteel. He had been a resident of Harrison for the last 40 years and was prior resident of Everton. Mr. Swofford was preceded in death by his parents and wives Maye Brewer Swofford and Grace Vaughn Swofford. He is survived by his son, Lex H. Swofford of Sugar Creek, MO., one brother, Alvord Swofford of Willets, CA., two sisters, Margaret Sanders of Harrison, AR., and Pauline Lewis of Joplin, MO., two grandchildren, Kathryn Harvel of Weatherby Lake, MO., and Sandra Swofford-Manning of Independence, MO., two great grandchildren, Vincent and Katie Manning of Independence, MO.

He was married to Maye Brewer on 22 Oct 1933 in Boone County, Arkansas. ⁽¹⁶²⁾
