Deaths and Services

GLENN, Charles P., 96, 5900 Coventry Lane, died Thurday. Services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cook Walden Funeral Home. Survivors: son, Fred Glenn of Austin; daughters, Olga Boatner of Austin, Myrtle Griffin of Jollyville, Eula Jones of Houston; brother, Jasper Glenn of Austin, sisters, Cora Warren of Austin, Arrie Estepp of Crane, 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.

He was married to Cora Hazeltine "Hattie" Walden (daughter of William David Walden and Margaret Savannah Nelson) on 5 Sep 1897 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Cora Hazeltine "Hattie" Walden was born on 6 Jul 1881 in Pond Springs, Williamson County, Texas.⁽³¹⁷⁾ She died on 13 Aug 1959 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. She was buried in Austin Memorial Park, Travis County, Texas.⁽⁴⁵⁴⁾

HATTIE CORA GLENN

Hattie Cora Glenn, 5900 Boswell Lane, died Wednesday night at the age of 78 in a local hospital.

She is survived by her husband Charles P. Glenn: four daughters, Mrs. H. J. Jones of Houston, Mrs. Myrtle Griffin, Mrs Suda Hohertz, and Mrs W. R. Boatner, all of Austin: three sons John Glenn, Lewis Glenn, both of Houston and Fred Glenn of Austin: four sisters, Mrs. J. J. Long and Mrs. Clementine Jackson, both of Austin, Mrs. Stanley Milligan of Jollyville, and Mrs. Howard Hauseflecke of Waco: five brothers. T. H. Walden, Elmer Walden, and J. V. Walden, all of Austin. Edgar Walden of Jollyville, and W. D. Walden of Houston; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Cook Funeral Home.

MRS. HATTIE C. GLENN

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie C. Glenn will be held at 3:30 p. m. Saturday at Cook Funeral Home with Rev. M. P. Burton and Rev. Charles T. Hardt officiating. Mrs. Glenn, of 5900 Bowell Lane, died in a local hospital Thursday. She was a life-long resident of Travis County and was a member of Memorial Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Norwood Walden, Noble Long, Vernon Walden, Allen Walden, Morris Walden, Dale Jackson, Glenn Warren, Arlen Warren and Glenn. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
