Carl worked as a printer with the steck company in Austin. Upon retirement he and Inez moved to Round Rock.

Deaths and Services

BEARD, Carl G., 76, of Round Rock, died Tuesday. Services 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Weed-Corley Funeral Home.

Survivors: wife, Mrs. Inez Helton Beard of Round Rock; sons, George Beard, Bobby Beard, both of Austin; brothers, Tom Beard of Alpine, Claude Beard of Fort Worth, Clyde Beard of Austin; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

He was married to Mary Inez Helton (daughter of Robert Lee Helton and Fannie Joines) on 20 Sep 1922 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. ⁽⁵⁷⁰⁾ Mary Inez Helton was born on 23 Aug 1904 in Manor, Travis County, Texas. She died on 28 Nov 1999 in Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas. She was buried in Austin Memorial Park, Travis County, Texas.

Inez Helton Beard, age 95, of Round Rock, died Saturday, November 27, 1999. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, George and Fran Beard and Bob and Marilyn Beard, all of Austin; sister, Tirie Helge of Round Rock; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express special thanks to her many caring friends and particularly, Lois Mayes. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at WeedCorley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 1999, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob Hinkelman officiating.

Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
