Claud Weller Beard was born on 28 Aug 1902 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.⁽³⁶⁾ He appeared on the census on 10 Apr 1930 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.⁽⁵⁷¹⁾ He died on 20 Jan 1994 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.⁽⁷⁶⁾ He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.
Mr. Beard worked for 30 years with the Gulf Oil Company in Fort Worth, later becoming a customs officer.

FORT WORTH - Claud W. Beard, a retired county law enforcement officer, died Thursday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 91.

Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Beard was born in Austin and had lived in Fort Worth for 71 years. He was a member of Hemphill Heights Methodist Church, now University Methodist Church. He was a charter member of Hemphill Heights Masonic Lodge 1164.

Survivors, all of Fort Worth: Wife, Jimmie Lee Beard; son, W.C.
"Bill" Beard; and two grandchildren.

He was married to Jimmie Lee West (daughter of Willaim Rufus West and Lorine Essie Bryant) on 20 Dec 1924 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.⁽⁵⁷²⁾ Jimmie Lee West was born on 21 Mar 1905 in Simsboro, Louisiana. She died on 21 Jun 1994 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.⁽⁷⁶⁾ She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. Claud Weller Beard and Jimmie Lee West had the following children:
