MRS. JANIE KISER
A resident of Alex since 1939, Mrs. Janie Kiser, 50, died about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday
at a Chickasha rest home. She had been ill three months.
Mrs. Kiser was born Aug. 16, 1910, at Austin, Tex., and moved to Chickasha during
her youth. She moved to Alex from Chickasha.
She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church at Hawkins.
Mrs. Kiser is survived by her husband, W. T. Kiser; two daughters, Mrs. Manuel
Pearson, Alex, and Mrs. C. Harrol Threadgill, Chickasha; one son, Wayne Kiser,
Tulsa, eight grandchildren.
Her mother, Mrs. J. A. Glenn, Alex, three sisters, Mrs. Ernest Cook, Chickasha;
Mrs. Edna Walker, Paris, Calif., and Mrs. Eula Lee Giddens, Norfolk, Va., and
three brothers, Robert Glenn, Superior, Calif.; Frank Glenn, Alex, and Jack Glenn,
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Alex high school auditorium. Interment
will be at Rose Hill cemetery under direction of Brown's Funeral Home.
She was married to Wilburn Thurston Kiser (son of Manuel
Kiser and Molly Grace) on 30 Oct 1929 in Chickasha, Grady
County, Oklahoma. Wilburn Thurston Kiser was born
on 22 Aug 1907 in Oklahoma. He appeared on the census on 6 Apr 1930 in Hillsboro,
Grady County, Oklahoma.(531) He died
on 22 Nov 1987 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha,
Oklahoma. Emma Jane "Janie" Glenn and Wilburn Thurston Kiser had the
Mary Pearl Kiser.
