Treva Glenn Brewington, age 87, of Austin, born February 21, 1913, at Round Rock,
Texas, died March 6, 2000.
Survived by daughter, Barbara Parker and husband, Gene, of Pflugerville, Texas;
son; H. P. Scott Jr. and wife, Anita, of Whitney, Texas; and daughter, Valla
Derrick and husband, Wayne, of Huntington Beach, California; two sisters, Merle
Doig of Victoria, Texas, and Lora Thurman, of Manor, Texas; six grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Treva was active in business in the Austin community for 50 plus years. Businesses
included: Bohn Bros. Dept. Store; Studer's Photography; Paris Hats and her own
business, Treva's Hat Shop. Most recently, she managed a Merle Norman Studio
until the age of 82.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Glenn; husband,
William S. Brewington; brother, Rudolph Glenn; and sister, Stella Sassman.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9,
2000, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral
services will be held at 10:00 a.m., March 10, 2000, at the Memorial Chapel of
Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at CookWalden/Capital
Parks Cemetery She was married to Hoxie Pierre Scott (son of
Edgar Scott and Mollie Corrine Galbreath) on 20 Sep 1930
in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Hoxie Pierre Scott
was born on 9 Jun 1912 in Comal County, Texas. He died on 12 Sep 1980 in Austin,
Travis County, Texas.(76) He was buried
in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Travis County, Texas.

Deaths and Services
SCOTT, Hoxie P. "Scotty", 68, of Austin, died Friday. Services 11:30
a.m. Monday at Weed-Corley Funeral Home. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery. Survivors:
daughters, Barbara S. Parker of Austin, Janice S. Mills of Elgin; sons, Hoxie
P. Scott Jr., of Washington, D. C., Gary L. Scott of Sugarland, Edgar D. Scott,
Randall C. Scott, both of Austin, eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

to William Stoneham Brewington (son of Roy Brewington and
Cary Ivy) on 21 Jun 1946 in Seguin, Guadalupe County, Texas.
William Stoneham Brewington was born on 28 Apr 1909 in Hill County,
Texas. He died on 5 Sep 1962 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. He was buried
in Capitol Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Travis County, Texas.
Mr. Brewington was an employee of the State Highway Department for 23 years.

WILLIAM S. BREWINGTON
William S. Brewington, 4907 Lynwood Street, died in a local hospital Wednesday.
He had been an employee of the State Highway Department for 23 years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Treva Brewington; daughter, Miss. Valla Brewington
of Austin, stepdaughter, Mrs. Gene Parker of Moody; stepson, J. P. Scott, Jr.,
of Richardson, and mother, Mrs. Cary Brewington of Corsicana.
Funeral services will be hel Friday at 2 p.m. at cook Funeral Home with Rev.
Ed Hartwell and Rev. Peter Katt officiating.
Burial will be in Capital Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Charles Beardsley, Luke robinson, alvis Vandygriff, Ray R.
Babue, Ray C. Wisdom and George Carver.
