Laura Clementine (Clemmie) Walden Jackson

Laura Clementine (Clemmie) Walden Jackson, was born In Travis County on Bull Creek, October 21, 1891, to William D. Walden and Margot Nelson. She married Asa Claud Jackson in 1911; and to this union four sons were born: Richard (died in infancy), Royce, William and Dale.

She died in Blanco, September 29, 1986.

She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Dale of Salado; daughters-in-law, Annie Laurie Jackson of Kermit, Marie Jackson of Salado, and Grace Jackson of Blanco;, one brother, Debs Walden of Pasadena; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons, six brothers, four sisters and one grandchild.

Services to be held in Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco, Wednesday, October 1, 1986 at 1:00 PM, with nephew Reverend Lee Roy Harris, of Weatherford. Burial in the Rhodes Cemetery in Jollyville.

Pallbearers: grandsons, Clark Jackson, John Jackson, Bill Jackson, James Dale Jackson; nephews, Don Wooley and Noble Long.

She was married to Asa Claude Jackson (son of John Lee Jackson and Mary Francis Clark) on 17 Dec 1911 in Travis County, Texas. Asa Claude Jackson was born on 16 Mar 1888 in Holly Springs, Mississippi. He appeared on the census on 28 Jan 1920 in J. P. No. 7, Limestone County, Texas.(354) He died on 13 Mar 1950 in Travis County, Texas. He was buried in Rhodes Cemetery, Williamson County, Texas.

ASA CLAUDE JACKSON

Asa Claude Jackson, a resdent of Austin for the past eight years, died at his residence, 309 Willow Street, Monday morning.

Survivors are three sons, Royce C. Jackson of Clay City, Ill.; William C. Jackson of Port Lavaca and Winston D. Jackson of LaPort; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Carter of Round Rock; Mrs. S. A. Tucker of Georgetown and Olga Jackson of Tacoma, Wash.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 1:30 p.m. at the cook Funeral Home with the Rev. John Threadgill officiating, pallbearers will be Jess Long, Standley Milligan, Elmer Walden, Tom Walden, Charles Glenn and Edgar Walden.

Burial will be in Jollyville Cemetery. Laura Clementine Walden and Asa Claude Jackson had the following children:
