Hazel Nelson
Hazel Nelson, 83, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at a local hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Mike Woodward
officiating, directed by Girdner-Brown Funeral Home of Abilene.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Snyder and she grew up and attended school in Abilene.
She was a beautician and also worked in the Taylor County Clerk's office for
10 years. She married Owen Nelson in 1935 and was a member of the Southwest Park
Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Owen, of Abilene; one son, Bob Nelson of Abilene;
two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several
nieces and nephews
