DEATHS AND SERVICES

MRS. MARTHA ANN COWAN

Mrs. Martha ann Cowan, 79, Rt. 7, Austin, died in a local hospital Wednesday. She was a lifetime resident of Austin and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Weed-Corley Funeral Home, Rev. George Freitag will officiate and burial will be in Austin Memorial Park.

Survivors include sons, James Henry DeGroat, Austin, Harold Cowan, Dallas, Burnice Cowan, Powers, Oregon, Kermitt Cowan, Austin, daughters, Mrs. Rosalie Cox, Austin, Mrs. Lloyd Ray, Powers, Oregon, and Mrs. Elizabeth Davis, Millington, Mich.; and brothers Tom Cromeans, Florence, Lee Cromeans, Temple, and Alfred Cromeans, Austin.

Pallbearers will be Hazzel Ray Cowan, Burnice Wayne Cowan, Russell Cowan, Gene Cowan, Henry Cox, and Larry Franke.

She was married to James Ray Cowan (son of Oscar J. Cowan and Laura) in 1908. Martha Annie Cromeans and James Ray Cowan had the following children:

421 i. Ruby Laverne Cowan was born in 1908 in Travis County, Texas. She died 1930 to 1940.

+424 iv. Kermit Nelson Cowan.

+426 vi. Elizabeth Laura Cowan.
