Turley Nathaniel Hopkins Sr. was born on 10 Aug 1910 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. He died on 13 Aug 1949 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. He was buried in Hagerman Cemetery, Hagerman, New Mexico.

Brother of Lubbock Residents Dies Here; Rites Slated Today

Turley N. Hopkins, 38, Lubbock visitor from Artesia, N. M., died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in Lubbock Memorial hospital. He had been in ill health for several years.

He was employed by International Harvester Company in Artesia.

Survivors include his wife, living in Artesia; two daughters, Wanda and Judy, also of Artesia; parents, Mr. And Mrs. J. N. Hopkins of Hagerman, N. M.; three sisters, Mrs. Melvin Flake of Lubbock, Mrs LeRoy Huckabay of Abilene, and Mrs. W. H. Templeton of Hagerman, and a brother, Jack Hopkins, of Lubbock.

The body will be taken overland to Hagerman, for burial today.

Lottie Belle Thorp and Turley Nathaniel Hopkins Sr. had the following children:

She was married to Wayne Calvin Newsom (son of Muriel Newsom and Alice Ford) on 1 Feb 1952 in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico. Wayne Calvin Newsom was born on 4 Jan 1912 in Polar, Texas. He died on 4 Oct 1985 in Bakersfield, Kern County, California. ⁽⁷⁶⁾ He was buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Bakersfield, California. Lottie Belle Thorp and Wayne Calvin Newsom had the following children:
