Norris Sneed

Norris H. Sneed, 72, Lake Colorado City, formerly of Big Spring, died Friday, June 9, 1989.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Claude Craven, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 9, 1916 in Talco and married Dorothy Thorp Sept. 14, 1935 in Roswell, N.M. He had farmed in Howard and Gaines Counties for many years, retiring in 1976. He moved to Lake Colorado City in 1976 from Seminole. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, Lake Colorado City; two daughters, Barbara Bronaugh, Big Spring; and Christi Maupin, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sons, Boyce and Larry, both of Big Spring; one brother, Robert, Kingsland; two sisters, Willie May (Bill) Brown, League City; and Bessie Smith, Big Spring; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers: Ricky Sneed, Dale Sneed, Erick Maupin, Craig Bronaugh, Mike Ballard and Robert Williams.
Dorothy Rose Thorp and Norris Herman Sneed had the following children:
