438. Cecil Ross Cromeans was born on 27 Sep 1926 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. ⁽³⁵¹⁾ He died on 13 Aug 2009 in Lake Jackson, Brazoria County, Texas. He was buried in Live Oak Cemetery, Manchaca, Texas.

Cecil Ross Cromeans, 82, of Lake Jackson, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, August 13, 2009. He was born September 27, 1926, in Austin, Texas, to Charles and Callie Mae Cromeans.

Cecil was a resident of Lake Jackson more than 50 years. He retired from Dow Chemical after 32 years of service, coached Lake Jackson Little League teams over the years and was a member of the Actions Group in Lake Jackson. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII where he drove a Higgins Boat while in the Pacific. He loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his daughter, Edith Zimmermann; sons, Charles Cromeans and wife, Sherri, and David Cromeans and wife, Claire; sister, Lenora Jansen; brothers, Fred and Phillip Cromeans; grandchildren, Robert Zimmermann, Brandi L. Breth, Christian, Zachary, Matthew and Ethan Cromeans; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Zimmermann; and many other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lorene Poehl Cromeans; parents and sister, Edna Hawkins.
