Patrick Ivey II & David Herbert, brothers Harold, Charles & James.
"John P. IVEY ['43], 85, of El Paso (formerly of Eastland County), died
April 25, 2007. During World War II he designed aircraft for McDonald Douglas
Corporation's Naval Aircraft Division. He was involved in farming, owned Southwest
Fertilizer Company, and from 1962-2002 was the managing partner of several family
farm partnerships guiding them into commercial and residential land development.
He was president of Buckhorn Coal Company. Survivors include his wife of 58 years,
Rosalie; two sons; three daughters, including Sheila Ivey CARTER ['75] and Rebecca
Ivey KELLY ['79]; 14 grandchildren, including Charles R. CARTER ['08] Lindsay
N. IVEY ['08] and Lauren R KELLY ['08]; a great-granddaughter; and two brothers,
including A. Harold IVEY ['44]. Memorials may be made to the John IVEY Sr. A&M
Memorial Scholarship Fund/ Aggie Mom's Club, c/o Rosanne PEYTON, 5116 Silverbell
Lane, ElPaso, TX 79936"
