Thelma Garner

Thelma Garner, 61, of 2900 S. Philadelphia St., died Sunday, Aug. 7, 1994.

Cremation was by Memory Gardens Crematory. Arrangements were by Memorial Chapel of Schooler-Gordon / Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street.

Mrs. Garner was born in Falls County and moved to Amarillo in 1990 from Houston. She married Oscar G. Garner in 1950 at Austin. She had been executive secretary at Borden Metal Products for nine years and was a member of Central Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Glynna Kay Wimberly of Houston and three grandchildren.

The body will not be available for viewing.

She was married to Oscar Glenn Garner (son of Isaac Garner and Maggie M. Brooks) in 1950 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Thelma Florine Moore and Oscar Glenn Garner had the following children:
