She was married to John Caldwell (son of John Caldwell and Nancy Hardin) on 5 Jun 1810 in Maury County, Tennessee. John Caldwell was born on 22 Feb 1790 in Halifax County, Virginia.⁽²⁶⁾ He died in 1813 in Maury County, Tennessee. Martha C. Rutledge and John Caldwell had the following children:
