George M. Caldwell


George Madison Caldwell, 88, born in Harrison County and a life long resident of Biloxi, who lived at 830 Crawford St., and was an independent fisherman until his retirement several years ago, died at 7:30 a.m. today at Howard Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by four sons, Houston, Rutledge, Elliott and Orey, all of Biloxi; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Rimanich, Biloxi and Mrs. Eva Guagliardo, Ocean Springs; one brother, Arthur Caldwell, Biloxi and one sister Daisy Gibson, North Biloxi, 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday from the Oak Street Assembly of God Church. Remains will be taken from Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home to the church at 3 p.m. Friday. Friends may call a home after 4 p.m. today.

He was married to Mary Eliza in 1903. Mary Eliza was born on 2 Dec 1884 in Mississippi. She died on 15 Sep 1958. She was buried in Bosarge Cemetery, Jackson County, Mississippi. George Madison Caldwell and Mary Eliza had the following children:
