DEATHS AND FUNERALS

JOSEPH B. RUTLEDGE

Joseph B. Rutledge, 74, of Lake Brownwood died at 4:55 a.m. today in Brownwood Community Hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Morelock Funeral Home with the Rev. C. J. Coff-man officiating. Burial will be in Mukewater Cemetery. Masonic services will be conducted by Brownwood Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Rutledge, a retired controller for Ford Motor Co., was a former resident of Dallas and had lived at Lake Brownwood 14 years. He was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas and Eastgate Masonic Lodge of Houston.

He married Mary Agnes Greer in Dallas Sept. 27, 1923. He was born in Austin Oct. 4, 1900.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Schiavo of Dallas; five sisters, Mrs. Ann Thompson and Vivian Myers of Lake Brownwood, Mrs. Lee Walker of Bangs, Mrs. Jess Avinger of Sweeney and Mrs. B. P. Conklin of Crane; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

He was married to Mary Agnes Greer on 23 Sep 1923 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. Mary Agnes Greer was born on 20 Jun 1904 in Texas. She died on 30 Aug 1999 in Brown County, Texas.

Longtime Brownwood resident

BROWNWOOD — Mary Agnes Rutledge, 95, died Monday, August 30, 1999 at her home.
No services are planned.

Mrs. Rutledge was born in 1904 in Amarillo. She married Joseph B. Rutledge in 1923 in Dallas. He preceded her in death in 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She lived in Brownwood 38 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary R. Schiavo of Brownwood; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Joseph Breck Rutledge and Mary Agnes Greer had the following children:
