Park, Dallas, Texas. From the Floyd County Newspaper, October 9, 1927:
HOUGHTON-BISHOP SECRET WEDDING ANNOUNCED
Monday Mr. Aubrey Bishop and Miss Ethel Houghton announced their marriage which
was solemnized at Claude the 24th of last October, Rev. Hitchcott performed the
ceremony. This marriage united two very prominent young people who have been
reared in Floydada. Both are graduates of Floydada High School and were very
popular in athletics and other school activities during their high school days.
Mrs. Bishop was a star basket ball player for four years and during three of
which she was captain. She later attended C. I. A. Denton, and State Teacher's
College, Canyon. She is the only daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. M. Houghton.
Mr. Bishop is a graduate of S. M. U. Dallas. He was captain of the Mustang baseball
team and a member of the football squad. He is the son of A. L. Bishop.
During the past year, Mr. Bishop has been with the Texas Employers Insurance
Association of Amarillo. This week he and R. E. Fry formed a partnership in
the insurance business. Mr. and Mrs. Bishop will make Floydada their home.

Bishop) on 26 Oct 1926 in Floydada, Floyd County, Texas.
Aubrey Albert Bishop was born on 29 Jun 1902 in Texas. He appeared
on the census on 11 Apr 1930 in Floydada, Floyd County, Texas.
(1260) He died on 11 Aug 1971 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. He
was buried in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.

Sloan gentry officiating. Interment, Restland Memorial Park.
