He died on 20 Jun 1946 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. He was buried
in Pond Springs Cemetery, Williamson County, Texas.
Lived at 4413 Avenue D, Hyde Park, Austin, in 1914, where he was a grocer, and
later at 615 Hearn Street, 2nd Ward, Austin, Travis County, Texas, in 1920.
Afterwards he was a trainman for the Austin Street Railway Company. They later
moved to 1334 W. 5th in 1935. Mrs. Hunter was a school teacher and state employee,
and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

FLOYD W. HUNTER
Floyd W. Hunter, 57, died at a local hospital Thursday.
He is survived by his wife, seven children, Mrs. Mildred McGlamery, Mrs. Joseph
C. Schuhmacher, Mrs. Mary Jo Renker, Bernice Hunter, Herbert Hunter, Jimmie Hunter
and Tommie Hunter, all of Austin; three sisters, Clara Hunter, Mrs. Willie Nelson
and Mrs. Dan Emmons, and three brothers, Walter Hunter, Alex Hunter, all of Austin,
and Victor Hunter of Seattle, Wash.
The body is at Hytlin Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
He was married to Cecil Annis Shropshire (daughter of
Benjamin Washington Shropshire and Annis Kazlak Dixon) on
11 Nov 1913 in Robert Lee, Coke County, Texas. Cecil
Annis Shropshire was born on 19 Nov 1892 in Texas. She died on 22 Mar 1986
in Austin, Travis County, Texas.(1038)
She was buried in Pond Springs Cemetery, Williamson County, Texas.

CECIL A. HUNTER
Cecil A. Hunter, age 93, of Austin died Saturday.
She was a retired schoolteacher and State employee. She was also a member of
First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Herbert Hunter and Thomas Hunter, both of Dallas,
and James Hunter of Austin; three daughters, Golda Schumacher of Liberty Hill,
Bernice Carothers of Lockhart, and mary Jo Renker of Austin; 17 grandchildren,
numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd W. Hunter and a daughter Mildred
McGlamery.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday at Hytlin-Manor Funeral Chapel;
with Reverend Bruno Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Pond Springs
Cemetery.
