He was buried in Austin Memorial Park, Travis County, Texas. ⁽⁸⁸¹⁾

ERNEST D. EAST


Ernest D. East, 62, died at his home 2118 Glendale street, Tuesday. Mr. East had lived in Austin for the past 30 years and was an employee of the city.

Survivors are his widow, three daughters, Nelda Loraine, Ibena Olga and Dawn Carolene East, all of Austin; five sisters, Mrs. Viola Cloer and Mrs. Winnie Nelson, both of Austin, Mrs. Ethel Hancock and Mrs. Ollie Shepherd of San Antonio, and Mrs. Annie Binds [Vines] of Eastland; and four brothers, Leonard, Ed, Malcolm, and Jasper East, alll of Austin.

Funeral services will be held from the Cook Funeral home at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. O. C. Crow officiating.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Buster Mobley, W. J. Johnson, B. B. Cloer, Claude Bible, Clarence Galbreath and Ray Sedwick.

He was married to Edna Idena Rannberg (daughter of Edward Rannberg and Carolina Peterson) on 1 Jan 1930 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.⁽⁸⁸²⁾ Edna Idena Rannberg was born on 27 Nov 1894 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. She died on 5 Feb 1984 in Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas. ⁽⁸⁸³⁾ She was buried in Austin Memorial Park, Travis County, Texas.⁽⁸⁸⁴⁾

EDNA RANNBERG EAST


Edna Rannberg East of Jarrell, formerly of Austin, died Saturday.

She was affiliated with the Austin National Bank for many years and was the widow of the late Ernest D. East. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Nelda Hayes and Dena Petty, both of Georgetown, and Dawn East of Jarrell; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Weed-Corley Funeral Home. Burial is at Austin Memorial Park.
