MALCOLM EAST
Funeral services for Malcolm East will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Baptist
church in Katy. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Park in
Austin.
A resident of Katy, East formerly resided in Austin. He was a member of the
Baptist Church in Katy.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Carson of Katy, and Mrs. E. C. Ross
of Katy; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Sheppard of San Antonio, Mrs. Clyde Hancock
of San Antonio and Mrs. L. L. Vines of Eastland; and two brothers, L. C. East
of Austin and Jasper East of Austin.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
He was married to Mary Etta Isaacks (daughter of William
Dean Guy Isaacks and Frances Amelia "Tina" Donnell)
on 30 Sep 1921 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.

OBITUARY
EAST: Mrs. Etta East, 52, died at a local hospital Wednesday evening.
She is survived by her husband, Malcolm C. East; two daughters, Mrs. E. C. Ross
of Houston and Mrs. J. W. Carson of Austin; three sisters, Mrs. W. W. Montgomery
of Georgetown, Mrs. Will Hunt of Liberty Hill and Frate Salyer of Mathias, texas;
three brothers, S. E. Isaacks of Jarrell, W. E. Isaacks of Liberty Hill, and
H. B. Isaacks of Levelland.
Funeral services were to be held from the Wilke Funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday
with the Rev. Ray V. Mayfield, pastor of the Congress Avenue Baptist Church,
officiating. Interment was in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: T. H. Carson, B. B. Cloer, Eric G. Nelson, A. D. Morgan, H.
D. Ross and R. M. Tumey.
