NORMAN (RUT) RUTLEDGE

Norman (Rut) Rutledge, age 83, of Austin passed away Monday, January 6, 1992.

Mr. Rutledge retired from the Austin Fire Department in 1972 after 42 years of service.

Mr. Rutledge was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Rutledge; and son, Norman (Bubba) Rutledge.

Survivors include son, Darrell Erwin Rutledge of Austin; sister, Ima Glover of Fredericksberg; and grandson, Aaron Spencer Haldiman of Austin.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, at Wilke-Amey-Clay Funeral Home. The Reverend Scott Johnson will officiate. Burial: Capital Memorial Park.

He was married to Beulah Hortense Douglas (daughter of David Alexander Douglas and Lillie Mae Ingram) in 1934. Beulah Hortense Douglas was born on 25 Nov 1913 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. She died on 27 Jul 1979 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. ⁽⁹³⁰⁾ She was buried in Capitol Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Travis County, Texas.
