DEATHS AND FUNERALS

DAYTON E. RUTLEDGE

The body of Private Dayton E. Rutledge, arrived in Austin Sunday noon accompanied by Sergeant Arthur Sarkis.

Private Rutledge was killed at Stoberg, Germany, October 8, 1944, while on a reconnaissance mission.

Funeral services will be held at the Wilke Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday with John T. Overby and J. M. P. Showalter officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Howard Kuhne, D. Knapp, Billie Disch Jr., Ray Bornes, Ellis Rutledge and Johnnie D. Henderson.

He was married to Lorene Harrell on 10 May 1943. Lorene Harrell was born in Ranger, Eastland County, Texas.
