EDWARD A. RUTLEDGE

Funeral for Edward A. Rutledge, 84, of 5300 Highway 290 West, will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel. Rev. Arthur L. Dunn will officiate and burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Carl Roe, Sr., Fred Buass, Ira Ruston, Bill Smith, John Skeen, and Clarence Campbell.

Rutledge died Friday in a local hospital. He owned and operated a store and gas station in Oak Hill for 20 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors are a wife, Mrs. Aline Rutledge of Austin; one daughter, Mrs. Ione Odom, Bastrop; one brother, Morris Rutledge of Houston; two step-children, Shirley Caldwell of Austin and Chester Fincher of La Porte; six step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was married to Minnie Lane Holden (daughter of G. W. Holden and Irena Bilyeu) on 2 Feb 1907 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.(944) Minnie Lane Holden was born on 27 Nov 1888 in Texas. She died on 2 Aug 1964 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.(945) She was buried in Masonic Cemetery of Onion Creek, Travis County, Texas.

MRS. MINNIE RUTLEDGE

Mrs. Minnie Rutledge, Star Route A, a longtime resident of Travis County, died Sunday. She was a member of the Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, E. A. Rutledge; a daughter, Mrs. Ione Odom of Austin; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Rose of Denver, Colo., Mrs. S. E. Abernathy of Austin and Mrs. Leath Goslen of Houston; and a brother, D. N. Holden of Dallas.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Cook Funeral Home. Edward Alexander Rutledge and Minnie Lane Holden had the following children:

She died on 17 May 1983 in Garfield, Travis County, Texas.(948) She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Travis County, Texas.

ALINE (FINCHER) RUTLEDGE

Aline (Fincher) Rutledge, age 67, of Garfield, died Monday.

Funeral services are 1:30 PM Wednesday at Wilke-Amey-Clay Funeral Home, Chapel of the Bells, with Reverend James Harrell and Revernd Bruce Barrett officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Survivors are one daughter, Shirley Foster of Garfield; son, Chester Fincher of Bellville, Texas; one brother, Morris Atwood of Manor; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
