Jess Conklin Rites Set Monday

Services for Jess A. Conklin, 64, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Johnson's Funeral Chapel with J. G. Bunyard, lecturer for the Business Men's Bible Class, officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

Mr. Conklin died Friday in Ozona.

He was born Oct. 21, 1906 in Brown County and was married in Irene Vermillon at Bowie in 1932. Hie had lived in San Angelo most of his married life.

He was a land surveyor with the University of Texas from 1929 to 1946, when he undertook surveying on a private basis. He was a Methodist and a member of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. B. P. Conklin of Crane; a sister, Mrs. D. K. Lockhart, of Crane, and a brother, F. N. Conklin of McAlister, N. M.

He was married to Irene Vermillion in 1932 in Bowie, Texas. Irene Vermillion was born on 11 Nov 1908. She died on 6 Dec 1987 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas.⁽¹²⁹⁸⁾ She was buried in Fairmount Cemetery, San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas.
