She appeared on the census in 1840 in District #17, Maury County, Tennessee. ⁽⁶⁵⁾ She appeared on the census on 16 Sep 1850 in District #9, Maury County, Tennessee.⁽⁶⁶⁾ She appeared on the census on 27 Jun 1860 in District #9, Maury County, Tennessee. ⁽⁶⁷⁾ She died on 18 Aug 1874 in Maury County, Tennessee. She was buried in Concord Cemetery, Maury County, Tennessee.

She was married to John T. Baird on 15 Oct 1827 in Maury County, Tennessee. John T. Baird died before 1840. Matilda Dooley and John T. Baird had the following children:
