Funeral Services Held Sunday for Mrs. Thompson

Mrs. Bonnie Thompson, 77, of Thornton, died Thursday, May 25, in South Limestone Hospital.

Services were Sunday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel in Thornton, the Rev. Billy Anderson officiating. Burial was at Thornton City Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was born April 6, 1912, in Austin. She lived in Thornton since 1955. She was a homemaker and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Thornton.

Survivors include her husband, Ellis Thompson; two sons, Chester Goddard of Thornton and Bob Goddard of Farmington, N.M.; a daughter, Janet Morgan of Groesbeck; a brother, W. P. Rutledge of Belleville; a sister, Velma Brockman of Hempstead; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was married to Chester Lee Goddard (son of William Goddard and Mary Etta Black) in 1932. Chester Lee Goddard was born in 1912 in Texas. He died on 25 Dec 1972 in Harris County, Texas.⁽⁸⁴⁾ Bonnie Esther Rutledge and Chester Lee Goddard had the following children:
