(977) He died on 14 Jan 1968 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.
(978) He was buried in LaRue Cemetery, LaRue,
Texas.
Lived at 902 E. 2nd, Austin, where he worked for the Austin Street Railway in
1916. Moved to 1109 W. 6th in 1918, and still worked at the streetcar company.
In 1920 he lived in Sweetwater where he worked as a mail dispatcher on a train
from Sweetwater to El Paso. In 1921 worked as a streetcar conductor in El Paso,
and moved to Portland Oregon from 1922 to 1926, where he worked as a machinist
in a woolen mill. Lost his left arm at the mill in 1925, just below the elbow.
Returned to Texas, living in Nolan County from 1926 to 1934. Studied bookeeping,
but never used it. Farmed in later age at LaRue, Henderson County, Texas, working
until 75 years of age. Liked to travel and made two trips to the west coast.

DALLAS - Clyde Carl Rutledge, 85, died Sunday in Dallas.
Rutledge was the uncle of Mrs. Eugene B. Davis of 4907 Woodrow Ave.
Rutledge was a former Austin resident. At one time he drove a streetcar in Austin.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Bearden of Dallas, seven grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. in LaRue Baptist church in LaRue.

CLYDE RUTLEDGE
DALLAS - Funeral for a former Austinite, Clyde Carl Rutledge, 85, will be Wednesday
at 2 p.m. in LaRue Baptist church in LaRue.
Rutledge died Sunday in Dallas. He was the uncle of Mrs. Eugene B. Davis of
4907 Woodrow Ave. Rutledge was at one time a streetcar driver in Austin.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Bearden of Dallas, seven grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
He was married to Lena Mae Ennis (daughter of James Madison
Ennis and Nancy Jane Thompson) on 1 Aug 1906 in Austin, Travis
County, Texas.(979)
Lena Mae Ennis was born on 22 Apr 1885 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas.
She died on 17 Oct 1941 in LaRue, Henderson County, Texas.
