A group of citizens, armed with Mr. Roberts recommendations, presented a proposal for a library to the City Council of Auburn. Auburn Methodist Church furnished the housing and the city council approved the funds.
The Auburn, Georgia Public Library opened its doors June 11, 1991.

Our new library is located behind city hall.
