June 1st Presentation to Auburn City Council
Update - The city council has approved allowing Troop 774 scouts to begin the cleanup process at Brown's Bridge Park. The park will be renamed in honor of Jimmy Shackelford.
Troop 774 has two scouts working toward their Eagle rank. Both boys are Life
Scouts and only need to complete their Eagle project in order to make Eagle.
Merlin Cain is the son of Penny and Wes Cain of Statham. Matthew Cornell is the
son of Karen and Lee Cornell of Winder.
John King is the Scout Master and the troop charter is Midway United
Methodist Church.
Both Eagle projects will occur in Schackelford Park (old Brown's Bridge
Park). They will add 4 benches, repair the tent platforms, add a new gate,
clean up the trails, and stop four wheelers from entering the park from
Apalachee Ch. Road with some posts to be planted in the ground.
Project complete.
