The Board of Commissioners meets twice a month on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The meetings are held in the Commission Chambers of the Courthouse, 30 Broad Street, lower level, and are open to the public. The agenda for the meeting is available on Wednesday before the Friday meeting. The most current agenda may be accessed online.
Barrow County operates under the Commission Plan of local government. The Board of commissioners makes policy, adopts laws, sets budget limits, sets tax rates and hears zoning cases.
