Parks Mill
    Williamson Whitfield "Whit" (1859 - 1944), a miller, reared his family at Parks Mill on Rocky Creek, near Auburn, Georgia. There he had a store, blacksmith shop, cotton gin and mill where both wheat and corn could be ground. he also had a pavilion built where friends and visitors could be entertained. It was a popular site for swimming and picnics.
