David Fancher (Son of David)

David Fancher was baptized in Stamford Connecticut in December 1741, and died before April 1, 1817 when administration papers were granted on his estate. He married in Stamford, June 7, 1764 to Martha Holmes, born April 26, 1741 and was living as late as 1810 in Stamford, daughter of John Holmes and Rebecca Bell. Children, born in Stamford:

1. David, born December 28, 1765.

2. Sarah, born September 24, 1767; died in Darien, March 12, 1840; married in Darien, March (January?) 1789 to John  Clock, a Revolutionary solider, born January 19, 1758 and died in Darien April 10, 1838, son of Albert Clock and Comfort  Clark; five children.

3. Rebecca, born January 12, 1771; married in Darien, May 20, 1792 to Carey Bell, born February 15, 1770. son of Thaddeus Bell and Mary Waring; five children.

4. Hannah, baptized October 1, 1775 and died young.

5. Martha, baptized November 1776 and died young.

6. Hannah, born November 4, 1777; died before April 12, 1817; married September 23, 1796 to Peter Weed.

7. Martha, born May 13, 1780; married Enos Tuttle.

8. William, baptized June 23, 1783; died young.

9. Daughter, died in infancy.
