John Fancher

John Fancher was one of the first settlers of Poundridge, New York, about the year 1730, in that part of the town known later as Stamford, Connecticut. He married in Stamford, Connecticut, November 15 or 19 1736 to Eunice Bouton. John Fancher died in Poundridge, February 4, 1779. Children:

1. John, born July 15, 1737.

2. William, born November 13, 1739.

3. Nathaniel, born May 30, 1742.

4. Abigail, born April 15, 1744; married Enos Brown.

5. David, born February 11, 1747.

6. Joseph (twin), baptized July 23, 1749.

7. Eunice (twin), baptized July 23, 1749; married Samuel Newman.

8. Mercy, baptized October 15, 1752; died in 1839; married before 1788 to Jesse Seymour, son of Ebenezer Seymour.

9.  Daniel, baptized August 10, 1755.

10. Elijah, born about 1757.
